Edith Long a finalist for Human Resource Professional of the Year
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2020) – Edith Long, executive vice president of Integrity Employee Leasing Inc., was recognized as a finalist for the Human Resource Professional of the Year from the HR Florida State Council Inc., an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
“Working in human resources, especially for a PEO, is an exciting, ever-changing career. Long has been in the human resources field for 27 years, and for the last four years has been with Integrity Employee Leasing, first as human resources director, then vice president of human resources and currently executive vice president, managing the team that handles clients with more than 7,000 employees.
The HR Florida State Council represents over 16,000 individual human resource professionals. Long holds a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP) in the global human resources membership association and has taught various SHRM certification courses for the Tri-County SHRM prep course. She was selected HR Professional of the Year for the Charlotte County SHRM Chapter in 2018.
Long is also vice president for the board of Charlotte County Meals on Wheels, a Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce Chamber Action Team member, and a representative for Integrity Employee Leasing for Crossroads Hope Academy, Virginia B. Andes Community Clinic, YMCA of Punta Gorda and United Way of Charlotte County.
