1 Million Cups® Naples

A hospital gown invented by a Naples doctor that provides privacy yet offers medical access without baring your behind, and a statewide, online platform that matches people, businesses and non-profits will be featured at 1 Million Cups® Naples.

1 Million Cups® Naples is held from 9-10 a.m. the second Wednesday of every month. Startups get six minutes to present their business, product or service, followed by up to 20 minutes of questions and advice from the audience, which includes the public, as well as SCORE, SBDC, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce members, entrepreneurs and business professionals. The audience can ask questions or participate through the 1MC app.

The presenters are:

* Dignity Hospital Gown, an innovative hospital gown invented by a Naples doctor that ensures you or your loved ones won’t be exposed, like actor Jack Nicholson was in the movie, “Something’s Gotta Give.” Designed by a Naples doctor, Dignity Hospital Gown was awarded a utility patent and provides coverage, easy access for medical providers — and it’s culturally appropriate for 21st Century patient-care needs.

* Connect My Cause, a statewide, online non-profit matchmaker for locals and businesses. The Ormond Beach-based platform matches cause-minded locals, businesses and nonprofits, helping them find each other and the resources they need to do good together. Like a Match.com for charitable giving, it’s the only all-in-one platform for local causes.

Organic coffee will be provided by Guadalupe Roastery and the Florida Culinary Accelerator @ Immokalee and paid for by our event sponsor, Bank of America.

The Kauffman Foundation developed 1MC® in 2012 as a free nationwide program to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs and startups over a cup of coffee. There are now 183 1MCs nationwide, with 11 in Florida.
