Amavida invites prospective residents to open house

Amavida, a new 32-acre luxury, independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Fort Myers, is holding an open house with live music and refreshments Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. for anyone interested in touring and learning more about the resort-style community.

Guests are invited to tour the community’s independent living apartments and amenities. The open house includes a visit to the community’s Lakeside Grill, where poolside drinks, popcorn and snacks, a live drummer and a raffle with prizes from several local vendors will round out the afternoon entertainment.

Scheduled to open in December, Amavida features a fresh, modern design and unique hospitality services. Without leaving the community, an Amavida resident can dine at numerous fine cuisine restaurants and bars; catch a movie at one of several in-house movie theaters; swim in a resort-style or lap pool; fit in a tennis, pickleball, bocce ball or basketball game; golf on the Par 3 practice area; indulge in a day at the salon and spa; lounge by one of several outdoor fire pits; and much more. The community also offers robust daily activity programming and an arts and crafts workspace, plus multiple aVidaFit gyms and programs, encouraging residents to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

The community’s close proximity to Lakes Regional Park – Lee County’s 279-acre recreational site – is also proving to be a big draw. From the north side of the community, future residents will enjoy a private entrance to the park’s numerous amenities, including walking, running and cycling trails; a paddleboard launch; outdoor fitness equipment; fishing; sand volleyball courts; several pavilions and picnic areas; opportunities for wildlife viewing; and much more. Lakes Park is also known for its robust seasonal programs and events schedule, including multiple holiday festivals, themed train rides, farmer’s markets and park tours.

The community includes 460 residences, with 300 independent living, 125 assisted living and 35 memory care units. The contemporary color scheme, design and spacious hallways offer a modern yet comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

Residents interested in independent living can choose from a cottage or apartment. Cottage floor plans range from 1,500 to 1,700 square feet and feature two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a garage with extra space for a golf cart. Five independent living apartment options range from 616 to 1,054 square feet; three assisted living apartment designs range from 437 to 790 square feet; and a 402-square-foot floor plan is offered for memory care residents.

A nursing team will be available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as an on-site pharmacy and medical clinic with robust services. Amavida’s idyllic location also provides residents with close proximity to numerous medical facilities.

There is no costly buy-in requirement at Amavida. Future residents are able to submit a deposit to secure their spot. One-year rental lease agreements are available with affordable monthly rates based on the selected floor plan and appropriate level of care, ranging from $2,600 to $6,000. Monthly rates are all-inclusive and allow each resident a $500 standard monthly dining allowance.
