Notice is hereby given that the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 15, at 8:30 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers, Third Floor, Collier County Government Center 3299 Tamiami Trail E. Naples, Florida.

Public Comment on SHIP Incentive Strategies Report:

This meeting will also serve as a Public Hearing on the 2022 SHIP Incentive Strategies Report.  At this Public Hearing, the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) will take public comment on the 2022 SHIP Incentive Strategies Report.  This report addresses the following State-required affordable housing incentives:  Expedited Permitting of Affordable Housing, Modification of Impact Fees, Density Flexibility, Reservation of Infrastructure Capacity, Parking & Setback Requirements, Accessory Dwelling Units, Flexible Lot Configurations, Modification of Street Requirements, Process of On-Going Review Impacting Housing, Public Land Inventory and Development Near Transportation.  Upon approval by the AHAC, the report will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners on December 13, 2022.  Written comments on this matter may be sent to the Economic Development and Housing Division ATTN:  Jacob LaRow, 2800 N. Horseshoe Drive, Naples, FL 34104.  The last day for submission will be November 25, 2022.

About the public meeting:

Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners may be present and may participate at the meeting.  The subject matter of this meeting may be an item for discussion and action at a future Board of County Commissioners meeting. Two or more members of the Collier County Planning Commission (CCPC) may be present and may participate at the meeting.  The subject matter of this meeting may be a future item for discussion and action at a future CCPC meeting.  

All interested parties are invited to attend, and to register to speak. All registered public speakers will be limited to three minutes unless permission for additional time is granted by the chairman.

Collier County Ordinance No. 2004-05 requires that all lobbyists shall, before engaging in any lobbying activities (including, but not limited to, addressing the Board of County Commissioners, an advisory board or quasi-judicial board), register with the Clerk to the Board at the Board Minutes and Records Department.
