The Why and How to Write a Business Plan

Looking to start a business or obtain additional financing for a current business? This workshop is for you since a business plan is essential for both. We will discuss topics which should be included in a Business Plan from the market to the financial analysis and we will explore the content of and explain the reasons for examining each subject.

This is a hands on workshop where you will start working through a sample plan with SCORE counselors to practice. In addition to the presentation material, additional worksheets and supplemental data on select subjects will be included in the attendees packets.

Speaker: Lee Dunn

Lee Dunn joined SCORE in 2016. A retired Captain in the US Navy, Lee also has 40 years of experience in banking holding various positions in retail, commercial lending, marketing, corporate support and management and was President of Charter One’s Western Ohio Division, President of Genoa Savings and President of Bank of Maumee and founded the Bank of Maumee in 2006, retiring in 2011. Lee worked with many business customers involving startup entities and small and large businesses. He served twenty-five years in the Navy Reserves, serving as commanding officer of 2 line unites and retired with the rank of Captain. Lee also served on several non-profit boards serving as Chairman of the YMCA of Greater Toledo, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, Toledo Hospital, Paramount Healthcare. He has a BBA from Kent State University and a graduate degree from Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Lee counsels’ clients with for profit and non profit businesses in the areas of enhancing customer service through the development of strategic plans, operations and finance and accounting to accomplish their goals and objectives and attain desired results.
