FGCU alumna Alexandra Tafeen named Young Professional of the Year

Alexandra (Allie) Tafeen, marketing and events manager at TLC Marketing & Creative Services inc., was named Young Professional of the Year, by the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce during its 28th Annual awards dinner on June 5.

The award recognizes a professional between the ages of 21 and 40, who demonstrates an ongoing commitment to community involvement and business engagement, fostering growth and contributing to the development of future leaders.

Tafeen is also a graduate of the 2026 Leadership Estero class. Running from October to June, the program provides with participants behind-the-scenes tours of local industries, conversations with community partners and leader and topic-based panels. Through this experience, participants build lasting relationships, strengthen their leadership skills and work collaboratively to serve the Greater Estero region.

“I’m truly honored to be recognized and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to and grow
within the Greater Estero community,” said Tafeen.

Tafeen graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor’s degree in communication, a concentration in public relations and a minor in marketing. Driven by a passion for helping others and connecting businesses through her education and career, she has volunteered with several local nonprofits dedicated to strengthening the community, including Roots of Compassion and Kindness, Dress for Success, Interfaith Charities, We Rock the Spectrum and United Way. She remains committed to mentoring young professionals, sharing her experiences and supporting initiatives that strengthen local organizations and the broader community.
