FGCU instructor wins award for Vectra Digital AI case study

FORT MYERS — Florida Gulf Coast University Management Instructor Dr. Chrissann Ruehle has won the Best Student-Authored Case Study Award from the North American Case Research Association (NACRA) for work based on her partnership with Vectra Digital.Her case study, “Vectra Digital: Capturing Artificial Intelligence Value After Adoption”, was presented to a NACRA roundtable in October.“We are extremely proud of Dr. Ruehle,” says Harrison Ambs, Chief Strategy Officer at Vectra Digital. “Her hard work goes beyond a case study.

It’s a humbling experience as a company to be a part of it.”Ruehle’s case study will be adjusted based upon feedback from the IT roundtable and submitted for publication to the Case Research Journal (CRJ). “I was so surprised and happy about getting an award from such a prestigious group!” says Ruehle. “The experts on the roundtable spent an hour discussing the case and were extremely excited about it. ”At the heart of her case study is Vectra Digital’s proprietary artificial intelligence tool that manages digital accounts and budgets 24 hours a day. Vectra Digital is an award-winning full-service marketing agency in Fort Myers.Ruehle’s case study highlights Vectra Digital’s founding, its AI introduction and development, barriers to AI adoption, ethical issues encountered, and future plans for the AI tool.

The study is part of her dissertation “Understanding the Complex Ethical Landscape of Artificial Intelligence Adoptions”. The dissertation also includes a college instructor’s manual for teaching topics related to her AI research with Vectra Digital. The manual will be made available at an instructor’s request once the study is published in a journal. Depending on which publication accepts the case, the manual could be made available throughout the U.S. and internationally.
