Ficker Appointed Cypress Living VP of Operations

(Fort Myers, FL – November 10, 2020) – Tim Ficker, formerly the Executive Director at Cypress Cove has accepted the role of Vice President of Operations for Cypress Living and its supporting affiliates, Cypress Cove and Cypress at Home.

Ficker, who previously served from 2009 to 2013 as Executive Director at Cypress Cove, came back to the 48-acre campus in October 2019 in an interim capacity. With the onset of the pandemic, he agreed to extend his stay and returned to the role of full-time executive director until a permanent replacement was selected.

“Tim is a proven and experienced leader who continues to inspire those around him through his dedication and servant leadership,” said Cypress Living President and CEO Troy Churchill. “His transition from Cypress Cove to its parent company is a win-win for our growing family of companies.”

While at Cypress Cove, he provided strong leadership and guided the organization through the early stages of the pandemic while providing organizational strategic planning and operational analysis. “Tim,” notes Churchill, “provided mentorship and organized the transition for the Cypress Cove Executive Director to Mary Franklin.”

He brings with him 25 years of experience in executive leadership in the senior living field. During his management career with senior retirement communities, he has served for some of the country’s most progressive and successful continuing care retirement communities (i.e., Erickson Living Communities and Shell Point Retirement Community).

In 2013, he founded a consulting and coaching firm, TDF Resources, Inc., and has since served with MHS and Trilogy Consulting as Managing Director. Ficker also served at University Village in Tampa as its interim executive director, assisting them in their re-emergence from bankruptcy.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Urban Studies from Denison University and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Seminary. Ficker is a certified John Maxwell Team Executive Coach and a certified Gallup StrengthsFinder Coach.
