Fort Myers Welcome Room Continues to be Open to Public, Media & is Offering Mobile Medical Care to Community

Sunshine Health’s Welcome Room, which opened immediately in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, continues to offer an air conditioned, fully stocked venue to recharge and gather needed supplies, including water, food, and diapers, among other daily necessities.

Also stationed many days at Sunshine Health’s Welcome Room is a mobile medical care unit that is offering health screenings, including well checks, vaccinations and testing for illness, such as flu and strep throat.

The Sunshine Health Welcome Room continues to be open to the public, as well as local and regional media, as a place to recharge equipment while in the field covering recovery efforts in Southwest Florida.
