FPRA SWFL chapter announces 2021 Board

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) recently installed its 2021-2022 board of directors, announced its leadership team and recognized newly accredited members during its first program of the new year, held at Dave & Buster’s in Fort Myers.  

During the monthly luncheon, the chapter welcomed its members by recapping the 82nd Annual FPRA State Conference and discussing goals for the year ahead. Outgoing Credentialing Chair Jessica Walker, APR, CPRC, also recognized Alex Van Mecl, APR, and Jaimie Miller, APR, CPRC, who both earned professional public relations accreditations. 

The incoming FPRA State President, Devon Chestnut, APR, CPRC, installed the chapter’s 2021-2022 board of directors, who will each serve a one-year term. They are Niki Mann, Florida Gulf Coast University, president; Jennifer Benton, APR, CPRC, TeleSpecialists, president-elect; Heather Doane, APR, Arthrex, immediate past-president; Steve Doane, APR, Arthrex, treasurer; Randy Mitchelson, APR, M&M Multimedia, assistant treasurer; Shannon Tackett, LCEC, secretary; Josh Milton, CONRIC pr + marketing, vp communications; Kelly Apfel, Midwest Food Bank, vp membership; Kandice Hayes, Harmar, vp programs; and Tiffany Whitaker, APR, CPRC, Lee Health Foundation, vp professional development.
