Goodwill lends a hand matching job seekers with companies hiring

Fort Myers – Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (SWFL), the City of Fort Myers and the STARS Complex are partnering for a “Let’s Get Back to Work” job fair on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the event, job seekers are welcome to meet with 20 companies for on-the-spot interviewing, including Goodwill SWFL. The event is open to all job seekers, but targeting the Dunbar community to help increase employment, and bring opportunity to the community.

Goodwill Community Resource Center (CRC) coordinators with be onsite to assist with the application process, and applicants may be hired on the spot.

“Our goal is to see more people employed by Goodwill and our partner employers,” says Tim Goodman, Goodwill SWFL Employer Relations Specialist.

Stars Complex, located at 2980 Edison Avenue, Ft. Myers, is providing the venue, chairs, and tables for no charge for companies participating.

Goodwill’s CRCs offer employment services and free computer skills training. Anyone who would like help with interview skills or resume writing can contact the closest CRC coordinator and make an appointment for assistance prior to the event.
