Governor appoints Danielle Hudson to Collier County Housing Authority

Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of four Floridians including Danielle Hudson, Vice President of Public Policy for the Naples Area Board of Realtors (NABOR), to the Collier County Housing Authority. The Authority was created by State Legislation in 1966 with the purpose of providing decent and safe housing for eligible low-income families, seniors and persons with disabilities. Hudson’s appointment will begin on April 15.

“Dani’s appointment is a testament to her outstanding credentials and her unwavering commitment to advocating for private property rights,” said NABOR’s Chief Executive Officer Marty Manion, CAE, RCE, CIPS. “Her participation will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference for the residents of Collier County.”

“My role at NABOR positions me on the front line during conversations about all planned housing development in Collier County,” said Hudson. “The Governor has made it a priority to maintain and expand affordable housing opportunities in Florida, and I intend to work with the other four members of the Authority to identify new opportunities that might have a significant impact on the Authority’s current programs or uncover new solutions.”

In addition to her work at NABOR, Hudson is a member of the Big Cypress Daughters of the American Revolution, the Saint Agnes Church Faith Formation, and the Women’s Foundation of Collier County Advocacy Committee. She is a licensed Customs Broker and has provided compliance consultation to Fortune 500 and 100 companies in the global trade industry. Hudson earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science and a master’s degree in international relations with concentration in Homeland Security from Salve Regina University. She has worked at the United States Naval War College, with Mayor David Cicilline (Rhode Island) and in Washington, DC, with Senator Jack Reed (Rhode Island).
