Governor DeSantis appoints Jenna Persons-Mulicka as Lee County supervisor of elections
Governor Ron DeSantis appointed State Representative Jenna Persons-Mulicka to serve as Lee County Supervisor of Elections.
A three-term member of the Florida House representing District 78, Persons-Mulicka has emerged as one of the Legislature’s most consistent and effective leaders on election integrity. Working in lockstep with Governor DeSantis and President Trump, she has authored and shepherded into law some of the most significant election reforms in Florida’s history, strengthening voter ID, cracking down on petition fraud and ensuring that only legal U.S. citizens cast ballots in our state. Her record reflects steady dedication and a willingness to see tough fights through to the finish.
“It is the honor of a lifetime to be appointed by Governor DeSantis to serve as Lee County’s Supervisor of Elections,” said Persons-Mulicka. “Election integrity has been my top priority in Tallahassee, and I will bring that same commitment to this office. Every Lee County voter deserves to know that their vote counts.”
After six years in Florida’s legislature, Persons-Mulicka will transition from her role as state representative to serve as Lee County Supervisor of Elections. She will be sworn in as Lee County Supervisor of Elections in the coming days and will also continue her role as a founding partner at Strayhorn & Persons-Mulicka, a Fort Myers-based law firm.
A six-generation Lee County native, Persons-Mulicka was first elected to the Florida House in 2020 and has been a leading conservative voice on election integrity and state security issues throughout her tenure.
She has served on many state and local committees and boards and has received numerous awards, including the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers’ Community Impact Award, Autism Acceptance Awards 2022 Champion of the Year Award, and Women of Distinction 2024 Woman of the Year Award. Persons-Mulicka was also recognized by the Florida Chamber of Commerce with Distinguished Advocate Awards in both 2025 and 2026. She has served in a variety of roles with civic and professional organizations, including the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, Lee County Bar Association, Arts for Act Fine Art Auction, Hope Kids Care SHINE and more.
Persons-Mulicka’s appointment follows the retirement of long-time supervisor of elections Tommy Doyle, whose role was temporarily filled since January 2026 by Chief Deputy Bernie Feliciano as acting supervisor of elections. The position will be up for vote in the upcoming 2026 election.
