Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s July luncheon to showcase area nonprofits

Business professionals will have the opportunity to learn more about the region’s variety of nonprofit organizations during the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon on July 18.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 at Pelican Preserve Golf Club, 9802 Pelican Preserve Blvd. in Fort Myers.

The event will feature guest speaker Sam Lewis, founder of the wholesale custom apparel company WearTheFund, who will share about his unique business model that supports the community. By donating 5% of total sales for every project to a nonprofit of the client’s choice, WearTheFund has contributed more than $160,000 to date to diverse causes that achieve social good for the communities it serves.

Attendees of the July luncheon will have the opportunity to learn about many of the local nonprofits that are members of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. Two dozen organizations will be showcased during the nonprofit expo, including: ACT (Abuse Counseling & Treatment), American Red Cross, The Animal Refuge Center, The Archway Institute, Better Together, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bishop Verot High School, City of Palms Charter High School, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health – Florida, Eva’s Closet & Foundation, The Friendship Centers, Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida, Keep Lee County Beautiful, Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation, Lutheran Services Florida, March of Dimes, Partners for Breast Cancer Care, Sally J. Pimentel Deaf & Hard of Hearing Center and The Salvation Army.
