Greater Naples Chamber to host Flood Summit May 7

The Greater Naples Chamber is excited to announce the first-ever Flood Summit event on Wednesday, May 7. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N., and will feature a panel of experts, which include representatives from BCB Homes, Brown & Brown Insurance, FloodProofing.com and Aqua Fence. The panel will be moderated by Michael “Mick” Moore, owner of Vanderbilt Beach Resort.

“As our community continues to face the growing challenges of flooding and extreme weather, it’s more important than ever to come together, share solutions and prepare for the future,” said Kristina Park, the president and CEO of the Greater Naples Chamber. “This summit is about collaboration – bringing together business leaders and experts to strengthen our community and protect what matters most.”

The event is designed to provide important and unbiased information relevant to issues which could impact our community. Both commercial and residential solutions will be recommended.

In 2004, Moore stepped in to help run the family’s hospitality business – the Vanderbilt Beach Resort and the Turtle Club Restaurant, both of which sustained significant damage following Hurricane Ian. Moore works full time for both businesses, while continuing to practice law part-time. Moore is involved with several local nonprofit organizations, including the Greater Naples Chamber.

Tickets for the Flood Summit are now available for purchase. Individual tickets are $35 and include a continental breakfast.
