Healthcare Network Promotes Antonello Castaldi to Associate Director of Philanthropy

NAPLES, Fla. – Healthcare Network, a nonprofit organization working to ensure primary medical care is accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of income or insurance, is pleased to announce Antonello Castaldi has been promoted to Associate Director of Philanthropy, effective June 1.

In addition to his responsibilities as volunteer manager, Castaldi will be responsible for expanding Healthcare Network’s funding strategy. This will include identifying organizational funding needs and cultivating individuals, corporations and foundations to increase philanthropic support to advance the organization’s mission.

Castaldi has been with Healthcare Network since Aug. 2021, serving as volunteer program manager. In this role, he developed and launched the organization’s first volunteer program which, to date, has welcomed 55 volunteers for over 1300 hours of service. Additionally, Castaldi has been instrumental in building partnerships with organizations such as Florida Gulf Coast University, AmeriCorps and Immokalee Foundation to provide students interested in the healthcare field real-world learning experiences through volunteerism.

Born in Rome, Italy, Castaldi brings nearly 20 years of international nonprofit experience to the position including working with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

During his tenure with UNICEF, he held various roles serving in Italy, Eritrea (a country in East Africa), Panama and Mexico. He designed and led fundraising campaigns, trained, motivated and led hundreds of volunteers and represented UNICEF at many events.

Antonello has a Master of Human Rights from La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy, and a Master of Business Administration from the Huizenga School of Business, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
