Horizon Council/Horizon Foundation’s Industry Appreciation Awards wins “Business to Business” honor at Community Foundation’s Charity Event
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Horizon Council/Horizon Foundation had the honor of winning the Business-to-Business Award at the Community Foundation’s Charity Event Awards in recognition of the organization’s annual Industry Appreciation Awards event.
Held April 4 at the Crown Plaza Fort Myers, the Community Foundation’s Charity Event Awards celebrates the best fundraising events and charitable organizations that host, plan and promote events that raise funds to fulfill their missions. The Business-to-Business category represented the best tradeshow, conference or event by an association.
Each year, the Horizon Foundation partners with the Horizon Council and Lee County Economic Development Office to host the Industry Appreciation Awards, which honor Lee County businesses that drive the local economy, employ our workforce and shape their industries. Much like honorees of the awards program, innovation, strong marketing and expertise all lead to the success of the annual event which has been recognizing excellence for the past 30 years.
“The Horizon Council and Horizon Foundation work to foster a strong business community in Lee County and to honor businesses that support our thriving economy,” noted Horizon Council Chair Mark Stevens. Horizon Foundation President Holly Smith added “The Industry Appreciation Awards event was a celebration of the incredible businesses and business leaders here in Lee County, and we are honored to receive the Community Foundation’s B2B Award recognizing the impact of that event.”
Horizon Foundation Executive Director Bill Johnson and Horizon Council Vice Chair Guido Minaya, along with Priority Marketing’s Teri Hansen and Alyssa Gonzalez, accepted the award on behalf of the Horizon Foundation and Horizon Council.
