Hyatt Regency Coconut Point General Manager Receives Outstanding Recognition from the American Hotel & Lodging Association

Bonita Springs, Fla.  – Brian Kramer, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, an award-winning resort in Bonita Springs, near the city of Naples in Southwest Florida, is named “General Manager of the Year” in the category of “Resort Property” by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). The winners of this distinguished program were recently recognized at the inaugural General Managers Summit at the annual The Hospitality Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I am completely honored to be named a ‘General Manager of the Year’ by the American Hotel & Lodging Association,” said Brian Kramer, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “Hospitality has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. What I enjoy most about this industry is being able to work with people from various backgrounds and meeting folks from all over the world. There’s no greater joy than working with my team to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests to ensure they remember their stay at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point here in beautiful Bonita Springs.”

The nomination process for AHLA’s “General Manager of the Year” is highly selective. Each nomination is carefully reviewed by AHLA’s team and evaluated on a scale of one to 10. Once the nominations are critiqued, they are then passed to a panel of Industry Judges comprised of members who hold leadership titles on AHLA committees or across its Premier Partner companies. The top three nominations with the highest combined scores from each category are then reviewed and the AHLA executive leadership team votes on the winner. Throughout his career, Kramer has made a significant impact at various Hyatt properties that he has managed along the East Coast. In addition to his current role at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, Kramer has served as General Manager at Grand Hyatt New York, Hyatt Regency Long Island, and Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa.

Most recently, Kramer oversaw the recovery efforts of Hyatt Regency Coconut Point following Hurricane Ian, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic which impacted the tourism industry. When he’s not at the resort making sure each and every guest is well taken care of and enjoying their stay, Kramer is actively engaged with the local community. He spends his time supporting charities including Habitat for Humanity, as well as the School of Resort & Hospitality Management at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he serves as chairman of the resort school.

“I’d be remiss if I didn’t spotlight my incredible team who work tirelessly to deliver for our guests. The success of our hotel is truly a team effort and none of it would be possible without the true dedication and resiliency they have shown over the past few years – from the pandemic to Hurricane Ian. I look forward to continuing to work with our talented group of hoteliers to help our guests create memories that will last a lifetime at our award-winning tropical resort in Southwest Florida,” continued Kramer.
