J.R. Evans Engineering Hires New Market Manager

Sarasota, Fla. — J.R. Evans Engineering is pleased to announce the hiring of Brent Morris as the Sarasota Market Manager and Senior Project Manager. Brent Morris will manage teams as they create plans for roadway and development projects across the state of Florida. Mr. Morris has a proven ability to execute complicated projects while building quality relationships efficiently and effectively with key project contributors. His responsibilities include client development and management, project management, staff management, and daily business operations.

Morris holds a 20-plus-year portfolio as a veteran engineer and project manager with experience in a wide variety of transportation and civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage, and water resource projects. The scopes of these projects include urban and suburban multi-lane design, round abouts and “roadway diets” to promote traffic calming and pedestrian safety in the suburban environment, intersection improvement, widening, and resurfacing.  Brent has provided water resources modeling and planning services for several counties in Florida. He led the modeling effort for the first resiliency study for FDOT, on A1A for FDOT district four for the protection of five miles of FDOT right of way.

Mr. Morris is a graduate of Florida State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Water Resources.
