John R. Wood awards ceremony celebrates company associates

John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate recently celebrated its top-performing associates and 2023 sales volume of $4.5 billion, more than $1.4 billion ahead of its nearest competitor, during an award ceremony held March 8 at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort.

The event included the company’s agents, management and staff, as well as Christie’s International Real Estate co-CEO Thad Wong and Kevin Van Eck, President of Affiliate Strategy.

The company, recently recognized as Christie’s International Real Estate’s 2023 Affiliate of the Year, is 100 percent owned by the founding Wood family and led by CEO Phil Wood. It specializes in southwest Florida, conducting business only in Collier and Lee counties.

Wood,” said Wood, recently ranked #122 among the residential brokerage industry’s most influential leaders in the 2023 Swanepoel Power 200. “Our record-breaking sales volume and market share leadership are a testament to our dedication, professionalism and expertise. It is a privilege to serve our customers with unparalleled local knowledge and a culture of excellence that has defined our company for more than 65 years.”

The company’s top award winners include:

·       The Earls | Lappin Team (Bill Earls, Larry Lappin, Aaron Earls, Alex Newman) of the Central Office received the President’s Award for the highest sales volume throughout the company in 2023.

·       Additionally, 13 John R. Wood Realtors were honored with Elite Awards for achieving closed sales of 50 million dollars and over; 26 agents were honored with Diamond Awards for achieving closed sales of 25 to 50 million dollars; 43 received Emerald Awards for closed sales ranging from 15 to 25 million dollars; 61 agents received Platinum Awards for achieving closed sales of 10 to 15 million dollars; and 113 received Gold Awards for closed sales of five to 10 million dollars.

The company’s top transaction for the year was a single-family Port Royal residence which closed for $46.8 million. According to Southwest Florida MLS records, the sale shattered records as the highest non-beachfront residential sale in the history of Port Royal and Collier County, the county’s fifth most expensive residential sale ever, and the most expensive Collier County single-family home sold in 2023. The firm’s additional significant sales included a four-bedroom, four-bath, 3,314 square-foot single-family residence on Gulf Shore Blvd. South which sold for $19 million and a five-bedroom, five-bath, 5,025 square-foot Port Royal residence which sold at the list price of $14.9 million.
