Lake Michigan Credit Hires Nakia Garcia as Vice President of Regional Mortgage Production for the Greater Sarasota Area

Sarasota, FL.  – Lake Michigan Credit Union (“LMCU”) is pleased to announce the hiring of Nakia Garcia as vice president of regional mortgage production for the greater Sarasota area.

A proud alum of Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, Florida and a graduate of the State College of Florida, Nakia has over 25 years’ experience in the world of banking and finance. She is an active member of the Rotary Club and the Manatee-Sarasota Building Industry Association.

LMCU’s Vice President of Regional Mortgage Production, Jayne Malinowski, looks forward to having Nakia’s talent and experience on the team. “Nakia’s enthusiasm and drive is apparent as soon as you meet her,” Jayne said. “I know her positive attitude and expertise will help many Southwest Floridians achieve their homeownership goals.”

Nakia is also the founder of the Dustin C. Strong Memorial Scholarship, which honors her late son. The scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Lemon Bay High School seeking a technical education in an automotive or marine program.
