The Clerk’s Office is committed to providing a safe environment for the public and employees. Based on guidance from public health authorities and the escalating health risk to our customers and employees, we have made the following changes to our services:
New safety measures, in accordance with the CDC and state orders, have been implemented at the Clerk’s Office, which may cause long lines outside the building.
We encourage customers to continue using online service when possible.
Customer Service Counters: Per Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order, Customers entering the Court House are now required to wear face masks or face coverings, maintain six feet distance from others, and have their temperatures checked. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees will not be permitted to enter the building. Only customers with court business will be given access and a limited number will be allowed in the lobbies.
Official Records – Recording Documents: Our Recording Office is closed at this time. Customers may drop off documents utilizing the drop box outside of the building. If you know the amount of your transaction, you may drop off or mail your documents with payment, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the addresses below:
If you do not know the amount of your transaction, you may:
- Drop off your documents to the address below in a sealed envelope with your Name, Address and Phone Number on the outside of the envelope and we will call you with an amount (including postage if not including a self-addressed stamped envelope).
- Call 239-533-5007 for an estimate and then mail or drop off your documents with a self-addressed stamped envelope for processing.
- e-Record your document using one of the third party vendors listed on our website.
You may pay by credit card over the phone or mail a check.

Court Related– Filing Documents and Making Payments: Payments due dates have been extended until July 3rd. Payments can made online (www.leeclerk.org/pay) or over the phone by calling 239-271-3252 or (239) 5333-5000. Documents can be mailed, submitted online, e-filed or left in the drop-box in the lobby of the Justice Center, MLK Entrance.
Customers can e-file (www.LeeClerk.org), mail or drop off documents. If you Mail or drop-off your documents, please include your payment, case number, contact information and explanation.
