Lee County Library System recognized for efforts to employ people with disabilities

The Lee County Library System has received a recognition from the Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind for employing people with disabilities.

The Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind recognizes employees and their employers on a quarterly basis at its quarterly update public forums. The Lee County Library System received this recognition to highlight circulation assistant Dylan Catino, who is legally blind. Catino has been with Lee County since 2019 and works at the North Fort Myers Public Library.  He began as a library page in 2019 and was promoted to circulation assistant in 2023.

Laura Cifelli, the Library System’s Manager of Public Services, accepted the award on behalf of the Lee County Library System. Catino will be featured in this month’s edition of the Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind’s newsletter.
