M/I Homes closes on 80-acre parcel in Lehigh Acres

M/I Homes, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, announced the joint purchase of 80 acres of land in Southwest Florida. Whispering Lakes will be a gated community consisting of 290 total homesites located in Lehigh Acres and M/I Homes’ first community in Lee County for the Southwest Florida division.

M/I Homes is projected to add 145 new single-family homesites to the Lehigh Acres community, Whispering Lakes, ranging from 1,519 to 2,800 square feet. Homebuyers will have the choice between five different one- and two-story floorplans within M/I Homes’ Smart Series design. Each home will feature three to five bedrooms and large flex spaces that are ideal for a home office, playroom, etc. In addition to the luxury of selecting a homesite and building from the ground up, homebuyers will be able to choose from a selection of Quick Move-In Ready homes.

Nestled in the heart of Lehigh Acres, Whispering Lakes is located just off Sunrise Boulevard, across the street from the new Amanecer Elementary School and Lehigh Acres Middle School. Pre-sales for Whispering Lakes will begin in early 2025.
