Manhattan Construction Company breaks ground on Southwest Florida regional office

Manhattan Construction Company has broken ground on its new Southwest Florida office at 14161 Jetport Loop, Fort Myers.

The new regional 53,000 square foot office represents a major community investment, bringing more than 300 jobs to Lee County and reinforcing Manhattan Construction Company’s long-term commitment to the region and its growing construction market. Once completed, the office will serve as a centralized hub for Manhattan Construction Company, as well as its sister companies Manhattan Road & Bridge, SafeZone and Spectrum.

“Lee County plays a vital role in the strength and growth of Southwest Florida, and we are excited to deepen our presences here,” said Francis Rooney, chairman of Manhattan Construction Group, former ambassador to the Holy See and former District 19 congressman. “This new office positions Manhattan Construction Company to better support the region’s evolving needs while reinforcing our long-term commitment to the communities we serve. We are proud to be part of Lee County’s future and look forward to contributing to its ongoing success.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by officials from Manhattan Construction Company, as well as Rep. Tiffany Esposito, Florida House District 77; Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman; Lee County Commissioner Beth Petrosky; and Airport Special Management Committee Vice Chair Ray Sandelli.

“At Manhattan Construction Company, building excellence is more than a phrase. It is a promise to our clients and to each other anchored by our core values of safety, excellence, integrity, respect and a client-driven culture,” said Craig Bryant, vice president of Southwest Florida operations at Manhattan Construction Company. “You see those values in how we build, how we partner and how we engage in the communities where we work. We are proud to begin this next chapter in Lee County and look forward to strengthening our relationships across the region.”

The new office is anticipated to open in spring 2027.
