FORT MYERS, FL – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection recently recognized MarineMax Fort Myers with the designation of Clean Marina.
The Clean Marina Program is a voluntary designation program with a proactive approach to environmental stewardship. The concept encourages marinas, boatyards, and marine retailers to incorporate Best Management Practices (BMP) that exceed average requirements. MarineMax Fort Myers showed they met regulatory requirements and implemented BMPs designed to protect Florida’s waterways and address critical environmental issues.
MarineMax Fort Myers General Manager Ryan West comments,” We, as a team, feel honored to have received the designation of Clean Marina and are pleased to serve our growing community of boaters with our newly constructed, state of the art marina facility. Given the limited dockage available and highly desirable access to the water in Lee County, we are thrilled to offer our members access to an exclusive, client-focused, boating lifestyle.”
MarineMax Fort Myers is located off McGregor Boulevard and offers an all-inclusive boating experience via their full-service marina. The campus spans over 25 acres with more than 275 dry slips and nearly 80 in-water slips featuring floating docks in a private, serene setting for boats up to 90 feet in length. Other amenities include an onsite waterfront restaurant, boat sales, service, storage, and concierge boat-launch via a mobile app. As members, you also have access to a fully stocked ship store, high-speed fuel, and a luxurious lounge featuring spa-like indulgences to start or wrap up your day on the water.
Operating a world-class marina requires a commitment to excellence in every corner of the facility, including environmental stewardship. The team at MarineMax Fort Myers is committed to excellence. They take pride in knowing their efforts have afforded them the recognition that accompanies the designation of a Clean Marina by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
