The Greater Naples Chamber will discuss aging in Southwest Florida during Wake Up Naples on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N., and will include a panel discussion featuring Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, president and CEO of Baker Senior Center Naples, Dan Lavender, CEO of Moorings Park Communities, and Thomas P. Felke, Ph.D., executive director of Shady Rest Institute on Positive Aging. Susan “Sue” Ryan, co-founder of The Caregiver’s Journey and founder of Sue Ryan Strategies, will serve as the moderator.
“Southwest Florida is home to one of the fastest-growing aging populations in the country, and it’s essential that our community comes together to explore the opportunities and challenges that brings,” said Kristina Park, president and CEO of the Greater Naples Chamber. “I’m confident that Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, Dan Lavender and Thomas Felke will provide valuable insights and spark important conversations on how we can better serve, support and engage our aging population.”
The speakers will share insights on Southwest Florida’s vibrant senior populations and how the growing demographic presents challenges and opportunities for the community. The panel will discuss key issues impacting seniors, innovative solutions, trends in care and lifestyle, and how community members can play a role in enhancing the lives of older adults.
Tickets for Wake Up Naples are available for purchase. Chamber member tickets are $50, nonmembers are $60. All tickets purchased at the event are $60.
