McKibbon General Manager, John Mesaros, Receives Prestigious Diamond Courtyard General Manager & General Manager of the Year Awards from Marriott International

Fort Myers, FL – McKibbon Hospitality, an award-winning leader in hotel management, is proud to announce that longtime leader, John Mesaros, has been recognized by Marriott International with the prestigious Diamond Courtyard General Manager and Courtyard General Manager of the Year awards. Mesaros, who serves as Dual General Manager for McKibbon’s Courtyard Fort Myers I-75 & Gulf Coast Town Center, SpringHill Suites Fort Myers Airport,  was presented the awards during Marriott’s Select Brands General Managers Conference in Anaheim, California earlier this month.

The Diamond Courtyard General Manager designation is awarded to top-performing leaders who demonstrate achievement in operational excellence and hospitality leadership excellence. One of just nine Courtyard general managers across the globe to receive this award, Mesaros was also selected from the pool of Diamond General Managers as the brand’s overall General Manager of the Year. A testament to John’s leadership, his property, Courtyard by Marriott Fort Myers at I-75 & Gulf Coast Town Center, was the recipient of Marriott’s Golden Circle Award, which is given to hotels scoring in the top 10-percent of the brand nationwide based on intent to recommend in guest surveys.

Mesaros joined McKibbon Hospitality in 2011 to lead Courtyard by Marriott Fort Myers at I-75 & Gulf Coast Town Center and was later promoted to Dual General Manager, expanding his oversight to McKibbon’s SpringHill Suites at Fort Myers Airport. Over the course of his impressive and impactful 30-year career, he has received upwards of 30 awards for leadership and stellar performance at his hotels, including Marriott’s Diamond General Manager of the Year for 2010, McKibbon Hospitality’s 2022 General Manager of the Year Award, as well as a variety of Marriott Diamond, Platinum, Silver and Gold hotel awards.
