Morris Depew’s Michael Ekblad appointed to Lee County’s Roadway Landscape Advisory Committee

Morris-Depew Associates’ Director of Landscape Architecture, Michael Ekblad, PLA, has been appointed to Lee County’s Roadway Landscape Advisory Committee. Ekblad will harness his nearly two decades of experience to provide valuable insight on matters related to roadway landscaping activities in Lee County.

A graduate of Louisiana State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, and a former board member for Keep Lee County Beautiful, Ekblad is widely recognized for his contributions to notable community impact projects, such as Gulf Coast Medical Center Campus, Gasparilla Inn, Margaritaville and Timber Creek.

An expert in the areas of landscape and irrigation design, hardscape design, site planning, and permitting, Ekblad also has considerable knowledge of the community development process and lifestyle planning. In addition to his experience with commercial, industrial, and residential projects, Ekblad also has experience with environmental design and graphic design, including the creation of community marketing graphics and illustrative site plans. Ekblad’s projects have also been recognized for their high level of quality and design by the Lee Building Industry Association.
