Nancy de La Vega Joins SchenkelShultz’s Southwest Florida Office as a Designer

SchenkelShultz Architecture is pleased to announce the addition of Nancy de La Vega, Associate AIA, LEED® Green Associate, as a Designer in the firm’s Estero office. de La Vega is an engaged and passionate design professional with five years of experience in architectural and interior design with a focus on corporate, healthcare, commercial, educational, senior living, and master planning projects.

de La Vega has been an active member of AIA Florida Southwest and currently serves as Secretary of the organization. Highlighting her outstanding contributions to the community and the design profession, de La Vega was honored with the local chapter’s President’s Award in 2021. Her contributions include updating the Chapter’s exam resources, correspondence and providing guidance for licensure candidates pursuing registration. She also served as the organization’s Associate Director for two terms in 2021-2022.

She earned her Master of Architecture degree from Florida International University and spent time in Italy and Japan through study abroad programs. de La Vega is a LEED® Green Associate accredited by the United States Green Building Council and is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

SchenkelShultz is celebrating 30 years in Southwest Florida. The firm’s current projects include Fire Station #45 for the Estero Fire Rescue District, Collier County’s new EMS Station #74 in Golden Gate, the City of Cape Coral’s new Police Training Facility, the Terminal / Security Checkpoint Expansion at Southwest Florida International Airport and renovations to the Airport Office Building and North Road Terminal at the Naples Airport.
