Naples Cancer Advisors welcomes Reid as nurse practitioner
Naples Cancer Advisors, a new community-based, non-profit organization that provides consultative oncology services to cancer patients and their families across Southwest Florida, announced that Amanda “Mandi” Reid has joined the practice as Nurse Practitioner.
Reid has been a healthcare professional since 1997, serving in a variety of roles and experiences.
Reid’s prior experience includes roles as a phlebotomist, lab assistant, nursing assistant, critical care technician, registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She found personal purpose and passion for making a difference in the lives of cancer patients after one of the most influential women in her life, her grandmother, was a breast cancer survivor. She has specialized in the practice of oncology since 2011.
Reid earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. Her love of patient care led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, achieving board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner shortly after graduation.
“With experience in both acute care and office practice settings, Mandi brings a multifaceted, compassionate and holistic approach to care while providing education and options to ensure patients meet their individual goals and honoring their journey,” said Lana Uhrig, Executive Director of Naples Cancer Advisors. “We are delighted to welcome her to our growing team serving Southwest Florida.”
