Orthopedic Surgeon Tom Hong, M.D., joins Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida

Fort Myers, FLA – Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Tom Hong, M.D., joins Fort Myers based Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida. Dr. Hong is Board Certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an active Fellow of the American Academy Orthopedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association for Hand Surgery. Dr. Hong specializes in treating conditions affecting the hand, wrist and elbow which include fractures, wrist pain, sports injuries, tendon injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. Hong’s interest in his patients’ well-being is a major focus, and he partners to both identify treatment options and help develop a health maintenance plan that can include both non-surgical and surgical techniques.  Dr. Hong earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, in 2008. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center and Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Erie, PA in 2013. Dr. Hong completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship through the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, in 2014.
