Pandemic, Project Design, and Party

FORT MYERS, FL (October 12, 2020) Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southwest Florida is proud to honor New York/Naples Interior Designer Suzanne Costa at the 27th Annual Storybook Ball on Saturday, February 6, 2021. The celebration will be held outdoors at the newly expanded Ronald McDonald House in Fort Myers, FL. The theme will be an interpretation of “Moana,” a must-see movie focused on overcoming impossible odds, family values, and Polynesian culture. Guests, in cocktail or themed attire, will enjoy cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and musical entertainment by the Robert Williamson Band.

“The 2021 Storybook Ball is going to be especially unique as this is the first time we will be celebrating the event at our Ronald McDonald House” said Laura Ragain, executive director. “Given the safety precautions due to COVID-19, we felt that having it outdoors would make our guests more comfortable. Also, it is particularly fitting that we celebrate Suzanne surrounded by her creative accomplishments from the 2016 Project Design renovation and the 2020 Project Design house expansion. We are so excited to be honoring our dear friend at the 27th Annual Storybook Ball.”

About the Honoree
Raised by an artist, the Late Great Eddie Costa of American Jazz Fame, Suzanne grew up with the creative element all around her. She knew how it felt to be excited by colorful music, art, and people, as naturally as she knew how to breathe. In 2016, her creativity and compassionate spirit inspired Suzanne to lead a team of 20 top Southwest Florida Interior Designers in a total renovation of the Fort Myers Ronald McDonald House in celebration of the Charities’ 20th anniversary… as a gift. Five years later and with the Ronald McDonald House expansion well underway, Suzanne returned as co-chair of Project Design 2020 along with ten top designers to furnish and decorate the 4,000 square foot addition, and again… as a gift. Suzanne Costa Interiors was established in 2000 and continues to create a personal design aesthetic for every client she serves.
