Park Royal Hospital Announces Bed Expansion

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Park Royal Hospital has added 12 new beds, increasing access to treatment programs for those who are struggling with mental health concerns and substance use disorders.

The facility’s expansion is a response to community needs that stem from the devastation of last year’s Hurricane Ian, a natural disaster that left many storm survivors in the southwestern Florida region grappling with emotional distress.

“In the wake of COVID-19 and, most recently, Hurricane Ian, there has been a growing need for essential behavioral healthcare services in our area,” said Amber Hentz, CEO of Park Royal Hospital. “Our team has been able to answer the call by providing round-the-clock care for our patients as well as collaborating with valued community partners to reach more people in need of urgent support. We are dedicated to being a reliable community resource, and we look forward to serving an even greater number of individuals with the expansion of our facility.”

Park Royal Hospital offers integrated treatment and programming that blends holistic and state-of-the-art therapeutic modalities. Adults who are living with addictions and behavioral health concerns, including posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder, and suicidal ideation, can receive individualized care in a secure environment.
