Perry Hotel Naples showcases Iggy Ortiz as executive chef

The Perry Hotel Naples, the new 160-room property located along the Cocohatchee River in North Naples, is showcasing Iggy Ortiz as executive chef. In this position, he works on the executive team to manage the property’s multiple food-and-beverage outlets, including Tigress, its signature Cantonese chophouse, its rooftop bar Easy Tiger, The Perry Coffee Shop, the poolside Bodega and in-room dining.

Chef Ortiz is dedicated to maintaining the high level of dining excellence that The Perry Hotel Naples has become known for since its opening in 2025. He collaborates closely with Chef Dale Talde, a James Beard semifinalist known for his appearances on Top Chef: Chicago and Top Chef: All-Stars. The celebrity chef brings a distinct Asian American experience to Tigress, blending the boldness of steakhouse fare with intricate Cantonese flavors.

Chef Ortiz studied business management at the University of South Florida before receiving hands-on culinary training at Roy’s Culinary, where he mastered both classical and contemporary cooking techniques. His most significant career milestones include being named chef partner at Roy’s Bonita Springs, where he trained and mentored aspiring chefs. He also contributed his talents to prestigious establishments such as Naples Grande Beach Resort and West Bay Club. His cooking style is ever-evolving, blending his love of fusion cuisine and comfort food with local and seasonal ingredients.
