PNC Bank Pledges $25,000 to Goodwill of Southwest Florida to Support Community Services
FORT MYERS, Fla.– PNC Bank has pledged $25,000 to Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida in support of its Community Resource Centers.
The Community Resource Centers serve more than 800 people a week aiding with job search skills, resume writing, online job searches, interview preparation, digital skills training and upskilling for career advancers. The grant from PNC will be integral to the Centers expanding their ability to serve more people.
“PNC is committed to driving real change in areas in which we can make the greatest impact,” said Chad Loar, PNC regional president for West and Central Florida. “With this $25,000 award, Goodwill can further help their disabled and disadvantaged clients flourish with better employment, development skills and social services.”
Other services that Community Resource Center coordinators provide include helping clients fill out applications for assistance and services when they have barriers with language, technology, and comprehension. Additionally, they provide wrap-around services through referrals to partner agencies, and several of these partner agencies utilize space within Goodwill Community Resource Centers to offer public assistance.
