Savor the Shore – FMB Chamber Island Hopper Giveaway Winners!

Savor the shore winner 3

FORT MYERS BEACH, FL  – Following the destruction of Hurricane Ian, businesses on Fort Myers Beach found a silver lining. The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, usually focused on attracting distant tourists, launched a local campaign named “Savor the Shore.” This campaign aimed to encourage locals to take a “daycation” and stay updated with the recovery efforts going on in Lee County.

Supporting this initiative, members of the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce donated giveaway items and coupons which were gathered into goodie bags worth over $300.  The goodie bags were distributed from the FMB Chamber’s visitor kiosk “The Roxie” during the Island Hopper Festival in Times Square. Those who collected these bags also got a chance to participate in a raffle organized by the Chamber.

The grand prize of the Savor the Shore Raffle was a pair of round-trip tickets on the Key West Express, won by Julia Porro. The second prize was a two-night stay at a Sunstream resort on Fort Myers Beach, won by Mary Jakubwiski. On November 8th, the winners met representatives from each organization to collect their prize.

Congratulations to both winners, and thanks to everyone for their continued community support.
