Seagate Hires President of Building Co. as VP of Development

Kevin Brown

FORT MYERS, Fla.  — Seagate Development Group has hired a results-driven leader and the former division president of a national building company – Kevin Brown – as Vice President of Development. This comes on the cusp of the leading, full-service company’s sustainable growth in and beyond the regional marketplace.

A 15-year veteran of the residential construction, development and sales industry, Brown will seek, manage and oversee preexisting projects and new land acquisitions – particularly for luxury residential communities.

He launched his long-term career with Toll Brothers in 2005 – first as a project manager and then as vice president and senior vice president of the national builder’s Southwest Florida residential division.

Some of Brown’s biggest industry-related milestones include directly managing over $70 million in communities’ backlog, managing the design studio’s $15 million in annual sales, sitting on the board of all active HOAs and exceeding the firm’s $110 million in annual single-family home sales.

As president of Toll Brothers’ Southwest Florida division, Brown directly oversaw all land acquisitions, land development, sales and marketing, design, construction, warranties and HOAs. In three years, he expanded the division’s land acquisition footprint into the Venice, Sarasota and Tampa submarkets as well as tripled its size. Home building revenue grew to over $100 million, and customer service, repair costs, design and purchasing management ultimately became some of the highest rated in the company.

“Real estate is booming like never before, so we are in an ideal position to leverage Kevin’s regional experience and network for our diverse platform and full-service mission. He will refine practices, bring us to the next and newest levels, and naturally progress us and our clients toward a future of great potential,” said James Nulf, Chief Operating Officer & Partner at Seagate Development Group.

A North Fort Myers native, Brown graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in business administration that focused on finance. He played baseball for the university’s NCAA national championship teams and was drafted to the Atlanta Braves organization before retiring from minor league baseball in 2004.
