Sean O’Donnell named lead assistant golf professional at Vineyards Country Club

Vineyards Country Club has announced the appointment of Sean O’Donnell as lead assistant golf professional. Originally from Dundee, Scotland — often called the birthplace of golf — O’Donnell brings extensive experience, a global perspective and a passion for the game to the role.

“The addition of Sean O’Donnell to our team reflects Vineyards’ commitment to providing our members with exceptional service and expertise,” said Paul Malonson, Vineyards Country Club Chief Operating Officer. “Sean’s dedication to the sport and vibrant personality will undoubtedly enrich our community.”

As lead assistant golf professional, O’Donnell aims to enhance the golfing experience for Vineyards Country Club members by sharing his expertise and passion for the sport, while bringing a touch of his Scottish heritage to the club.

O’Donnell discovered golf at age 12, riding his bike to a local course near his home. He quickly developed a passion for the game, eventually earning PGA professional status in Britain in 2007. After years of playing professionally, he moved to the United States to embrace a new opportunity, working as an assistant pro at Bear’s Paw and Countryside golf clubs.

Throughout his career, O’Donnell has been known for his competitive spirit and commitment to charitable causes. He recently competed in the “Play Yellow Birdie Bash,” where he and his teammate raised $26,000, contributing to an event total of nearly $461,000.
