Sen. Passidomo to speak at Wake Up Naples

The Greater Naples Chamber is excited announce state Sen. Kathleen Passidomo as the keynote speaker at Wake Up Naples on Wednesday, June 25. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N. Passidomo will provide a legislative update during the event.

Passidomo’s presence at the event shows the importance of collaboration between local businesses and our elected leaders. It’s a valuable opportunity for our members to engage directly on the issues that matter most to our community and economy.”

Passidomo was elected to the Florida Senate in November 2016 after having served in the Florida House of Representatives since 2010. She was elected by her peers to serve as President of the Florida Senate for the 2022-2024 legislative term. During her two years as leader of the upper chamber in the Florida Legislature, Passidomo championed a series of initiatives to better the lives of Floridians and tackle the challenges facing our state.

Passidomo currently serves as the Chair for the Senate Committee on Rules, a role previously held during the 2020-2022 legislative session. She also previously served as Senate Majority Leader from 2018-2020 legislative session and as the Senate President’s appointee on the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking from 2017-2019.

Passidomo graduated in 1975 from Trinity College (now University) in Washington, D.C., after which she spent eight months backpacking in Southeast Asia. In December 1978, she received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law and built her practice around Real Estate and Business Law in Naples. She was in the first group of attorneys in the state to obtain Board Certification in Real Estate Law and her peers elected her to serve as President of both the Collier County Bar Association and the Collier County Women’s Bar Association.
