Fort Myers, FL – Christopher Spiro, CCO of Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, and Brand Architecture, once quipped he was the Susan Lucci of Lee County’s Industry Appreciation Awards, never winning one of the prestigious honors after 27 years of trying. The streak is over.
Spiro & Associates was named Small Business of the Year recently at the 2022 Industry Appreciation Awards luncheon, which was attended by almost 700 people at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center. It was the first time a marketing company has won in the Small Business category and only the second time over the last 10 years a marketing firm won any of the much sought-after awards.
The Lucci reference set up perfectly for Spiro. The popular actress, who played the popular Erica Kane on the daytime soap opera “All My Children” for 41 years, was nominated for TV’s Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress 21 times only winning once and that coming after her 19th nomination.
