Charles Rollins

FLORIDA, FL – Suffolk, one of the largest and most successful building contractors in Florida, recently hired Charlie Rollins as executive vice president of South Region operations.

Rollins will be responsible for directing Suffolk personnel on jobsites and regional offices throughout the southeastern United States to enhance operational efficiencies, quality of work and consistent delivery of Suffolk’s unique value proposition to its clients.

With two decades of experience in the construction industry, Rollins has overseen dozens of multi-million and billion-dollar projects throughout the country. Prior to his new role at Suffolk, he served as executive vice president, director of development and construction with Strategic Property Partners. Before his tenure at Strategy Property Partners, he was a project manager for Suffolk.

“I am thrilled to work alongside Charlie as we continue strengthening our leadership team in Florida,” said Peter Tuffo, president and general manager of Suffolk Southeast. “Charlie is a perfect fit for our culture, innovative mindset and approach to client service. I look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on our team members, processes, and ability to service our clients at the highest level.”

In his new role at Suffolk, Rollins will apply his expertise in managing complex, high-profile projects. Most recently, he oversaw the $3.5 billion mixed-use development known as Water Street Tampa for Strategic Property Partners.

“Suffolk is experiencing accelerated growth throughout the Southeast,” said John Fish, chairman and CEO of Suffolk. “To accommodate this growth, and as part of our expansion strategy, we are continuing to invest in bolstering our leadership. We are thrilled to have Charlie join us during this exciting time and to see his impact on this flourishing region.”

Charlie earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Salem State University and received his MBA in Real Estate and Finance from Babson College.
