Summit Broadband grows executive team to lead its expanding residential services

ORLANDO, Fla.  – Summit Broadband, a leading fiber-optics telecommunications provider in Florida, announces three industry veterans are joining the company to lead its growing residential services division. Darrick Zucco joins as executive vice president, residential services; David Ramos joins as executive vice president, community solutions; and Geno Flori joins as senior vice president of operations.

Zucco has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications sector with expertise in driving business transformation, leading business units worth more than $300 million in turnaround, startup and growth modes. He brings extensive industry knowledge in general management, new business development and product management. Zucco previously served in executive positions with MetroNet, Rise Broadband and Cincinnati Bell, and he managed the City of Lebanon, Ohio’s municipal cable system and leveraged its sale to start Cincinnati Bell’s FTTH business. Zucco holds an MBA from Xavier University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Cincinnati.

Ramos joins the company with more than 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with expertise in large HOA managed and operated properties. He previously led the Southeast Florida region team at Hotwire Communications as the company’s executive vice president and general manager. Additionally, Ramos has held key leadership positions in commercial, hospitality and residential verticals at several of the largest cable and telecommunications companies in America such as Comcast and Atlantic Broadband. His expertise includes operational management, P&L maximization, revenue growth, strategic planning, service delivery and customer relations. Ramos holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree from Trinity International University.

Flori brings more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, including leadership roles with Verizon and Comcast. He recently led operations and construction teams at Verizon (Frontier) in Florida, including FTTH deployments and service delivery teams. In addition to his experience with FTTH initiatives, Flori spent time with Comcast leading the technical operations team in the Washington, D.C. market. In each of his roles, Flori has led his teams to success in driving employee engagement to improve key company focus areas while also improving overall customer experience. He holds an MBA from Colorado Technical University and a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University.
