TD Charitable Foundation awards grant to Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida received a $6,500 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation to support the MicroEnterprise Institute in Collier and Lee Counties.

Established in 2010, The SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute is a six-week program that assists aspiring entrepreneurs in developing their ideas. Industry experts in marketing, banking, legal and others relevant areas, help students gain valuable tips and insight to help with their launch.

The program has graduated 1,147 students and helped start or strengthen 660 local business, and to date 70% of those businesses are still in operation.
