The City of Fort Myers Arts and Culture Grant application process is now open until March 31

The City of Fort Myers recognizes the importance of the arts to the cultural, educational and economic well-being of its diverse population. In order to enhance access to a full range of cultural experiences, the city offers grant opportunities for arts and cultural programs within the local community.

The annual city-sponsored Arts and Culture grant application process opens March 1, 2021 and closes March 31, 2021. Awards will be announced in June of 2021 after all applications have been reviewed. Accordingly, the 2021 post-grant reports will be due May 31, 2022.

This grant opportunity is available and open to both individual artists and nonprofit organizations. To be eligible for this award, artists must live or work within the Fort Myers corporate city limits or create/perform work that makes a meaningful contribution to the arts and culture of the city of Fort Myers. The maximum grant funding for individual artists is $2,500. For nonprofit organizations, the grant requires production and/or presentation of a cultural program or festival within the City of Fort Myers’ corporate limits. There are two types of grants offered for organizations: Operating Grants with a maximum grant amount of $10,000 and Project/Program Grants with a maximum grant amount of $5,000.
