Tiffany Gonzalez Named Regional Communications Director for the South Florida Red Cross

MIAMI, Fla – The American Red Cross South Florida Region names Tiffany Gonzalez as its new Regional Communications Director. 

In this role, Gonzalez will be responsible for all internal and external communications, media relations, social media, and disaster public affairs for the region, which serves nearly 8 million people across 13 counties. 

“I am truly honored to lead our Communications team here in South Florida and work alongside the most committed and dedicated staff and volunteers that choose to serve the Red Cross mission,” said Tiffany Gonzalez. “It is a privilege to continue serving our local communities.” 

Since 2021, Gonzalez has been serving as the Regional Communications Manager for the South Florida Region of the American Red Cross, working with regional Development, Disaster Cycle Services, Service to the Armed Forces, Biomedical Services, Training Services, and Volunteer Services. 

As a communications and social media professional, Gonzalez came to the Red Cross with a little over 12 years of experience. She worked in communications in the hospitality, finance, retail and most recently, automotive industries. She is a social media maven, always following the latest trends to turn them into great campaigns.   

Gonzalez started her career in communications as an intern, working with a local PR agency, creating campaigns for local restaurants to increase brand awareness. She garnished the agency’s first national media mention and helped implement the use of social media influencers to grow client’s businesses.  

Most recently, Gonzalez worked in the automotive industry, helping increase their digital marketing footprint by revamping their social strategies and helping grow their online engagement by 200%. 

Gonzalez is a first generation Cuban-American, born and raised in Florida. She has a history of commitment to community service. Throughout her years, she has been an active volunteer with both the United Way of Miami and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her hobbies include reading, working out, and being by the ocean.  

As a Florida native, Tiffany received her bachelor’s degree from the Florida International University in Communications and currently resides in Miami, Fla.
