‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa reopens following Hurricane Milton

‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa officials reported all team members are safe, the property remains secure, and water service and power have been restored following Hurricane MIlton. The resort, which includes a marina, fuel services and numerous restaurants and amenities, has reopened.

“Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees,” said Chief Executive Officer Doug Babcock. “We look forward to welcoming our guests back today.”

The resort team traveled by boat to Captiva on Fri. Oct. 11 to conduct a comprehensive property assessment. They found that all structures, including hotel units, remain secure and intact, with no water intrusion in any hotel accommodations and minimal intrusion in four cottage units. While the property has experienced some erosion, the resort’s overall structural integrity is preserved and all buildings have been inspected by structural engineers.

“We deeply appreciate the patience and support of our guests, community and partners,” added Babcock. “We’re grateful for a swift recovery and will be glad to see everyone again.”

Resort officials are currently partnering with the community to offer discounted rates for Florida and Georgia residents in need of lodging while assessing their residences. For details, call (800) 223-5865.
