Two Extraordinary Golf Properties In Southwest Florida Tee Off A New Era In Par Excellence
NAPLES, FL — Coral Investment Group, along with its long-term partner, ITG Group, this month acquired Misty Creek Country Club in Sarasota, FL. Additionally, Coral Hospitality welcomed Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero, FL, to its management portfolio. These strategic moves bring the number of Coral Investment Group owned properties to nine and Coral Hospitality’s management portfolio to 13 properties throughout Southwest Florida and Georgia.
“Our strategy is to continue growing our golf business along the I-75 corridor between Naples and Tampa. Of course, if other sites become available, we will certainly consider those opportunities as well,” stated Lee Weeks, Chief Operating Officer, Coral Hospitality. “The most exciting part of growing our portfolio of properties is being able to welcome new members and guests to our Coral Hospitality family of hotels, resorts, golf courses, country clubs and community associations. With 20 sites currently under management and having successfully managed over 40 in our history, we are able to provide a very high level of service honed over 25 years in business,” Weeks added.
Misty Creek Country Club is the only golf course in Southwest Florida that is set entirely in a 350-acre wildlife preserve. Spectacular views, live oak forests and water features, bordered by dense vegetation, set this course apart from others. The semiprivate, 18-hole championship course was designed by the renowned Ted McAnlis in 1985. Open to the public, Misty Creek also
offers several levels of membership.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club is a 7,400-yard, 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course. Certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary, it is owned by The Hoffman Family of Companies. The Old Corkscrew has become one of the premier courses in Southwest Florida. Not associated with a real estate development, the course is a stand-alone, extraordinary golf experience. The course design accentuates the site’s assets of mature oak, pine and cypress trees, providing a natural passage through the property.
“Adding Old Corkscrew to our portfolio allows us to offer to our guests one of the most highly-rated public courses in South Florida. We are delighted to have been chosen by the Hoffman Family of Companies to manage Old Corkscrew and look forward to providing a level of service and course conditions to our guests they are not able to experience elsewhere,” stated Mark Osterhaus, President of Coral Hospitality.
Coral Hospitality is a full-service management and investment company, owning and developing hotels, resorts and community associations. Coral’s other golf properties located in Florida and Georgia include Arrowhead Golf Club, Calusa Lakes Golf Club, Capri Isles Golf Club, Eagle Ridge Golf Club, Jacaranda West Country Club, Riverwood Golf Club, Rosedale Golf & Country Club, Brasstown Valley Golf Course, Georgia Veteran’s Golf Course, Wallace Adams Golf Course and Waterford Golf Club.
Coral Hospitality, based in Naples, FL, tailors its management approach to each individual club in order to highlight the distinct characteristics of each, allowing members and guests to always have a spectacular and memorable experience. The organization is responsive to change, controlled in growth, focused on seamless transitions and committed to owner, employee and guest
satisfaction.
