W 1/8 NEXT SWFBT DEADLINE

Happy New Year 2025

Okay, I know it’s only the first week of January, but we all know it’s time to remind business owners that the 2024 tax deadlines are right around the corner! Thanks to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, some of us still need (and have time) to file our 2023 taxes!

The FEBRUARY issue of Southwest Florida Business Today (SWFBT) highlights the financial industry–including banking, accounting and insurance–in its annual “Financial Review” edition. This edition provides our more than 50,000 readers in-print and online with the practical information needed by business owners on topics such as a corporate tax checklist, new or expiring business tax credits, various types of insurance available to businesses, etc. Ads are available to fit every budget. The edition is also available to our 3000 website visitors/month via the digital version of the newspaper available at swfloridabusinesstoday.com (and the link is also direct-delivered to our proprietary email database of 3000.)

The special 4-color ad rates for this edition are:

Full page: $1060 (10 in wide by 16 in high)
Half page: $725 (10 in wide by 8 in high or 5 in wide by 16 in high)
Quarter page: $555 (10 in wide by 4 in high or 5 in wide by 8 in high)
Eighth page: $405 (5 in wide by 4 in high or 2.5 in wide by 8 in high)
Sixteenth page: $255 (5 in wide by 2 in high or 2.5 in wide by 4 in high)

A black-and-white business card ad is available for $80; in 4-color for $140.

Send all ad files to [email protected]. Ad specs are available on our website for your reference. We can design your ad for a one-time setup fee starting at $75.

The ad deadline is coming up quickly–5pm Friday, January 10 is the final proof and space deadline.

I can take system ready material up till 5pm Monday, January 13.

You can also share your wisdom with SWFBT’s readers via writing a guest column–at no cost to you! These run space available: we fit as many as we can into this issue! For this edition, we especially invite our financial professionals to share their updates (and we know there are plenty of updates!)—or, as a local business owner, share a financial “lesson-learned.”

Here’s some basic guidelines we follow for guest column submissions:

First, we’re looking for original material. Second, it must have a local angle and be written for the business owner/operator with an educational (not an advertorial) approach. Third, we would like a 20-30 word “mini-bio” of the author as well as contact information. If you have a headshot we can use, that would also be appreciated. The average column is around 500 words, but I am open to something more in-depth as well.

Please send all guest column submissions to [email protected] by 5pm Wednesday, January 8.
This is the best opportunity you have all year to participate in a publication focused on educating business owners and managers about your role in (or experience with) the financial industry.

We look forward to serving you in 2025 for our 18th year!
