Walmart and customers donate more than $30M to support hurricane relief efforts

As communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton continue to recover, Walmart and Sam’s Club are still here to support. Walmart is announcing that customers and members raised more than $14.5 million to the American Red Cross, bringing the total support for hurricane relief from Walmart, Sam’s Club, the Walmart Foundation and our customers and members to more than $30 million across impacted states. This includes:

  • Donating 178 truckloads of food, water and essential items
  • Giving nearly $10 million in grants to relief organizations on the frontlines, including grants to Volunteer Florida, Meals on Wheels, Hispanic Federation, SBP, and I-DIEM in Florida
  • Raising more than $14.5 million from customers and members for the American Red Cross

For several weeks after the hurricanes made landfall, more than 100 Walmart and Sam’s Club parking lots became places of hope for communities where people could access charging stations, laundry, showers and hot meals. Operation BBQ Relief and Walmart Private Fleet drivers served a total of more than 544,000 meals from Walmart parking lots.
